Terms & Conditions
-
If your dog has a medical condition, we advise you book a ‘hydrotherapy’ session rather than a fun swim. We also advise you consult your Vet or Physiotherapist to confirm they are happy that your dog is fit to free swim.
-
Fun swims will be supervised and your dogs breathing and heart rate monitored. Should your dog become exhausted we will advise rest, and in some cases may cease the session. Please be aware fun swims will not be undertaken by a qualified hydro/physio therefore we cannot recommend these sessions for dogs with underlying health conditions.
-
Dock-diving is only suitable for physically fit dogs with no health conditions. It is a sport, and as with any sport, has the potential to cause injury. We will not be liable for any injuries caused during diving.
-
Hydrotherapy sessions will be single-dog session, with a hands-on qualified member of staff. Your dog will be carefully managed and monitored throughout, ensuring maximum benefit to the health conditions being treated. Your dog will be gait-assessed on land prior to and after your session.
-
If your dog is unexpectedly lame on arrival we have the right to cancel your session.
-
We insist all dogs wear a ‘point of contact’ I.e a life jacket or harness. This is for safety reasons, and allows us to have a contact on your dog should they need assistance in the water. For hydrotherapy sessions this is also compulsory. You can wear your own, alternatively you will find a selection in reception, which we invite you to fit on arrival so you are ready to enter the pool.
-
ALL dogs must be showered before entering the pool. We advise showering at end of session too. If you’d like to shampoo your dog this must be mentioned at the beginning of the session so we allow time at the end.
-
One adult can go in the water with each dog. Owners enter the water entirely at their own risk. We recommend you arrive in your swimwear (long-sleeved T-shirt/leggings recommended), to save eating into your session time. Children under 16 will NOT be allowed into the pool, this is non-negotiable.
-
Please advise us if your dog has any behavioural issues to ensure that we interact appropriately during your session.
-
For safety reasons all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times until they have entered the dock area.
-
Please ensure you toilet your dog prior to entering the pool building. There will be a £100 charge for fouling in the pool, and £50 for poolside. There is a paddock at the side of the premises where your dog can toilet. Please pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in the bin provided. If you forget to bring dog waste bags there are some in a dispenser above the dog waste bin or ask us for one as we have some in the office. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEAD AT ALL TIMES. It is a working farm and we must adhere to their wishes.
-
Please make payment by cash or cheque at the beginning of the session to avoid running over time at the end.
-
You will get 30mins in the pool area (including showing before/after). You will then be moved through to a drying room where you can take your time getting changed. You are responsible for drying your own dogs. Please bring towels if they are not used to a blaster.
-
Please avoid feeding your dog for three hours before your session, and for two hours after the session.
-
If your dog has any skin conditions, eye or ear infections you should not swim your dog and cancel your appointment as necessary until the condition has cleared up.
-
Unfortunately, if you are late for your appointment you will lose part of your allotted time as we run a tight back to back appointment schedule. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time.
-
If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at least 24 hours before to let us know. We do understand that this isn’t always possible, however, we do reserve the right to charge the full amount for notification of less than 24hrs if we cannot fill your session.
-
Jump In Dog Therapy will not be held responsible for any damage to vehicles on our premises.
-
Please supervise children at all times both outside and inside the pool building.
-
Prong collars are not allowed onsite. Please remove them before entering the pool building.
-
Spectating dogs will incur the additional-dog fee of £10 regardless of whether they swim or not
-
In order to reap the most benefit from your sessions, dogs should not swim 48hrs before or after any other treatment (I.e chiro, physio, acupuncture), nor should they swim for 48hrs after anaesthesia or sedation.
-
If your dog has had a procedure, no swimming should occur until you’ve had sign-off from your vet.
-
We advise no walks on swim day, but we do recommend you get them up regularly for a potter to prevent stiffness.
-
Getting them warm and dry after a swim, particularly in cold weather, is advised.
